CARSON (Feb. 11, 2017) — Cal State Dominguez Hills' Justin Sadler and Dharion Tanner combined to hit 22 of 30 from the field and helped lift the Toros past visiting CSUSB 73-58 in CCAA basketball Saturday night.
Khleem Perkins led the Coyotes in scoring with 17 points.
Dorian Butler had 16 and
Ramon Eaton 12 for CSUSB, now 11-10 overall and 7-9 CCAA.
The Toros (12-10, 8-8) shot 58.2 percent from the floor as Sadler scored 24 points with 10 rebounds, and Tanner had 23 points.
The Coyotes led for only eight seconds in the second half, but the contest was still a one-possession game when Butler's layup cut CSUDH's lead to 55-52 with 8:16 left.
However, the Toros answered back on a 16-4 run and led 71-56 on Tanner's jumper with 2:22 remaining.
