SAN BERNARDINO (November 25, 2017) - A game-breaking third-quarter by visiting Humboldt State put the Coyotes at a deficit in their CCAA game Saturday night at Coussoulis Arena.
 
HSU in control
The Lumberjacks (2-5, 1-1 CCAA) took command with a 13-1 run with 1:05 remaining in the third and led 55-40. HSU later built a 20-point lead in the fourth.
 
About the Coyotes
Kaitlyn Parks led the Coyotes (3-2, 1-1) with 12 points and Arianna Knox 11. CSUSB shot 32.4 percent for the game on 22 of 68 shooting and outscored the Lumberjacks from the 3-point stripe, 18-9.
 
Difference maker
HSU outscored the Coyotes 33-7 from the free throw line with the Coyotes commiting 30 fouls.

CSUSB continues CCAA play Thursday night at UC San Diego.

Tyla Turner led HSU with 22 points (6 of 11 FGs, 10-13 FTs). Three others scored in double figures.
