POMONA (Oct. 4, 2017) — Reigning CCAA Player of the Week
Lauren Nicholson keyed the visiting No. 23-ranked Coyotes with 19 kills, but it wasn't enough in their CCAA loss Wednesday night against Cal Poly Pomona.

CSUSB had its four-match winning streak end in the 21-25, 19-25, 25-20, 19-25 loss and now takes its 9-6 overall record and 5-2 CCAA ledger into Friday night's match at Cal State Dominguez Hills. The Broncos, who defeated the Coyotes for the first time in three seasons, are now 7-8, 3-4.
About the match
The match featured 36 tie scores and 14 lead changes, but CSUSB had difficulty earning momentum throughout the match. The Coyotes hit no better than .217 in any of the four sets.
