Coyotes live another day

POMONA (Oct. 27, 2017) — It took just one shot for the Coyotes in their victory Friday night against conference-leading Cal Poly Pomona.

The shot
Humberto Salcedo snaked his way through the box and delivered in the 15^th minute for the game winner. CSUSB needed just two shots on goal for the victory, its first in the last four games.

What the win means
CSUSB (8-8-1, 6-5-1 CCAA) lives for another day in its quest for a CCAA Tournament berth. The Coyotes need one of two things to occur Saturday — a tie in the Sonoma State-San Francisco State game or a Cal State LA loss against Chico State — for a postseason berth. A win by either SSU or SFSU qualifies the winner, while a CSULA win knocks the Coyotes out. Should CSULA earn a draw against the Wildcats, the Coyotes would advance.
