CHICO (Sept. 30, 2016) — Efficiency on the offensive end made all the difference for the Coyotes, who defeated Chico State 3-1 in CCAA soccer Friday night.

Rachael Figg and
Amanda Lopez supplied the scoring for CSUSB, which improved 4-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 CCAA. The victory was CSUSB's fourth in its last seven games.
CSUSB totaled six shots with four SOG and three have them hit paydirt.
Susan Ibarra placed the ball inside on a deflected shot that Bermudez scooped up and buried it in the 8
th minute. Eighty seconds later Chico State tied the game at 1-1 and the score remained even heading into halftime.
Figg, who led the team in shots (15) and SOG (10) before the day began, gave CSUSB the lead for good in the 48
th minute when she outran a defender to the ball and beat the goalkeeper to the far post.
And for good measure, Lopez delivered a corner kick that ricocheted off the far post in the 74
th minute.

Megan Vina had four saves and improved to 4-2-1.
Chico State (4-5-1, 0-5) outshot the Coyotes 11-6. The Wildcats had one more corner than CSUSB (3-2).
The Coyotes return to Coyote Premier Field on Friday when they take on Cal State East Bay.
