SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 7, 2016) — Megan Vina made sure Cal State East Bay did not score in the second overtime in Friday's game CCAA game.

Susan Ibarra made sure her team won.
One minute after Vina made the defensive play of the game, Ibarra answered in the game's 109
th minute in CSUSB's 2-1 win over the Pioneers at Coyote Premier Field. The victory pushed CSUSB's overall record to 5-5-1 and more importantly, 4-2-1 in the CCAA.
CSUEB dropped to 2-6-3, 1-4.

Rachael Figg answered the bell in the 18
th minute to tie the game at 1-1.
Megan Todd fed Figg on the front left side of the net. She kicked the ball on an easy one-timer to the right on the straight pass.
The game remained at 1-1 and it appeared that the Pioneers would have certain victory in the second OT. Rachel Robbert collected the ball and went one-on-one toward Vina in the 108
th minute. The kick was straight on and Vina gobbled up the ball for the save.
On CSUSB's next possession, Todd had the ball again, and this time fed Ibarra, who had a drive on the open field. Her delivery was pure and that brought the CSUSB bench immediately on the field for the celebration.
Both Figg and Ibarra share the team lead in goals with four each.
CSUSB is unbeaten in its last five games (4-0-1).
Vina had three saves – two in the second OT.
The Coyotes return to Premier Field on Sunday against Stanislaus State. Kickoff is 11:30 a.m.
