SAN BERNARDINO (Sept. 23, 2016) — The Coyotes paid no attention to a day filled with high winds and high temperatures in their 2-0 win over visiting Cal State Monterey Bay in CCAA women's soccer Friday afternoon.

Megan Todd and
Alyssa Campa improved the Coyotes' record to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the CCAA heading into Sunday's contest against San Francisco State.
The Coyotes faced the north goal during the first half and met high winds throughout. With 20 seconds remaining in the half, Todd received the ball inside from fellow senior
Susan Ibarra. Todd ripped a shot from the left middle and into the right corner from 10 yards out.
CSUSB played a stellar defensive second half, limiting the Otters to just eight shots and two shots on goal.
In the 80
th minute, Campa received a pass from center to left
Bianca Scodellaro, then ripped an untouched shot for the tally.
Both goals were the first on the year for the two Coyotes.
Eight different Coyotes totaled at least one shot as they totaled 15 on the day.
Senior
Megan Vina improved to 2-2 and had five saves in the Coyotes' first shutout on the season.
CSUMB dropped to 4-3, 1-2.
