Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SAN BERNARDINO (March 4, 2016) -- Senior LHP Don Sullivan supplied a stellar effort, throwing a shutout and going the distance in a 2-0 win over Cal State San Marcos in CCAA baseball Friday at Fiscalini Field.

The Coyotes (7-13, 2-6 CCAA) dropped the opener 3-0 and had just three hits.

The Coyotes and Cougars (10-7, 2-3) resume their weekend series Saturday in San Marcos.

Game 1: CSU San Marcos 1, Coyotes 0
The Cougars mustered just one run in the opener against and it was enough in a game that Cameron Mackenzie dominated.

Mackenzie threw seven innings and allowed only two hits with six strikeouts and two walks. Reliever Hayden Weir threw two innings with one strikeout and one hit and earned his first save.

CSUSM scored the game's only run in the sixth when Brandon Bentsen came through with a one-out single up the middle that scored Ross Lemmell, who led off the inning with a single.

Coyotes starter Tyler Wells (1-2) went six innings and had four strikeouts, two walks and gave up five hits.

Jordan Simon, Grant Buchanan and Andrew Lopez supplied the Coyotes' offensive with their three hits -- all singles.

Game 2: Coyotes 2, CSU San Marcos 0
Sullivan (4-2) guided the Coyotes in ending their six-game losing streak with a sound outing. He had one strikeout and got out of a huge jam in the eighth when the Cougars loaded the bases with one out.

He induced a 6-4-3 double play on Austin Ott to keep his shutout intact.

Daniel Romo paced the Coyotes with a ground-out RBI in the second, then led off the fifth with a liner over the left-field wall, his first HR of the season.

Romo and Brian Lockey had two hits each, and Buchanan, William Ouellette, Damion Edmonds and Lopez contributed toward CSUSB's eight hits.

The doubleheader featured two nine-inning games as Sunday's original game was pushed back to Friday.
