Box Score ST. GEORGE, Utah (Feb. 7, 2016) -- The Coyotes had a tough time with West Region power Dixie State in the four-game series that concluded with a 10-2 defeat Sunday.
CSUSB (2-5 overall) faces Cal Poly Pomona in nonconference play Friday night at 6 p.m. at Scolinos Field.
Jake Caron provided a two-out, RBI-double to right center for a 1-0 Coyotes' lead through one.
Dixie State answered with three runs in the third, and later padded its lead with a six-run eighth.
Andrew Lopez and
Damion Edmonds each had two hits for the Coyotes, who totaled six for the game.
Dillon Fahr accounted for the other.

Brian Conley took the loss in five innings. He had three strikeouts, two walks and allowed four runs (all earned).
