SAN BERNARDINO (Feb. 26, 2016) — Senior
Alexcia Mack scored a game-high 19 points, but she was the only Coyote in double figures in their 57-48 loss to Sonoma State in CCAA basketball Friday night.
The Coyotes, by virtue of their loss, are the fifth seed in the CCAA Tournament and will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Stanislaus State. The winner advances to the tournament semifinals set for Stockton on March 4.
CSUSB led 19-11 at the end of the first quarter, but totaled just 29 points over the final three quarters in the loss to the Seawolves, now 10-18, 5-14.
The Seawolves got the upper-hand late in the first half when they secured an 11-0, thanks to three 3-pointers by Kylie Kiech and a jumper by Hannah Sourke that gave their team a 29-28 lead at the break.
CSUSB closes the regular season with Senior Night on Saturday against San Francisco State.
