Box Score 2 SAN BERNARDINO (Feb. 26, 2016) – The Coyotes will have to wait one more day to help celebrate head coach
Jim Maier on his 500
th career victory as CSUSB split its Friday doubleheader against Stanislaus State, losing the opener 4-3 and winning the second 6-4.
CSUSB is 11-8 overall and 6-4 in the CCAA, while the visiting Warriors are 8-7, 5-5.

The visitors grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second, thanks to a pair of errors that brought in Ruby Quiralte, who reached on a double to right. After
Jessica Angulo tied the game on a sac fly in the third, the Warriors regained the lead in the fourth, with a two-run, three-hit inning.
Trailing 4-1, CSUSB cut the deficit to one run in the sixth. Angulo led off with a double to left center, and advanced to third on
Caelan Smith's single.
Ashley Leffingwell doubled through the left side that scored Angulo, and three batters later Williams singled to left and scored Smith.
The Coyotes had the bases loaded with one out in the seventh, but failed to tie it up with when
Caitlyn Olan struck out and Leffingwell flew out to end the game.
Morgan Ratliff, Angulo and Wiliams all had two hits.
Williams threw five innings and dropped to 9-4 overall. She had six strikeouts, three walks and three of her four runs allowed were earned. Her counterpart Kyle Ragsdale went the distance and had four strikeouts.

Freshman RHP
Amanda Ramirez (2-2) did a nice job in relief of Williams. She struck out four, walked only one in 3 1/3 innings and allowed six hits.
Down 1-0, Angulo came through with a run-scoring single, then came through with two runs in both the fourth and the fifth.
Ratliff delivered an RBI-double, and two batters later, Smith drove in
Monica Maddox on a single to left.
In the fifth, Ratliff again hit a run-scoring double, and later scored on Angulo's double to left.
The victory marked No. 499 in Maier's 15-year career. He owns an overall mark of 499-305-2 with his first 13 seasons at CCAA rival Cal State Dominguez Hills.
