LANCASTER (Feb. 17, 2016) — Dylan Lohman drove in four runs with three hits and
Andrew Lopez hit a three-run home run to lift the Coyotes over the University of British Columbia 13-4 in nonconference baseball Wednesday night at The Hangar.
The Coyotes (5-7 overall) play Cal State L.A. at 12 p.m. Thursday, and then finish play in Lancaster against the Golden Eagles and UBC (10-5) on Friday afternoon. The games against CSULA are nonconference.
CSUSB scored 11 runs on 11 hits and sent 15 to the plate in the sixth inning to break away from a 2-1 lead.
Lohman connected on a three-run triple to right, and later Lopez ripped a three-run home run to seventh to key the inning.
Austin Lundeen and
William Ouellette each doubled and accounted for the other two extra-base hits for CSUSB.
Ryan Rich had three singles, while
Brian Lockey, Ouellette had two hits apiece.
RHP
Brian Conley improved to 1-1 in his six innings. He had two strikeouts, walked one batter and allowed four hits with two runs, one earned. Reliever
Kamden Haglund threw three effective innings in relief and earned his first save of the season.
