Coyotes shut down against No. 10 Broncos

Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (Feb. 12, 2016) -- The Coyotes struck out 19 times in their 8-2 loss to No. 10 Cal Poly Pomona in nonconference play Friday night.

Broncos starter Ryan Olson had eight in five innings, and Max Bethell had 11 in the final four innings.

The Coyotes had four hits -- singles from Dillon Fahr, Ryan Rich, Dylan Lohman and Damion Edmonds.

Coyotes starter Tyler Wells threw five innings and had 10 strikeouts and allowed five hits, two runs (both earned).

CSUSB is at UC San Diego on Saturday in a nonconference doubleheader.
