LA JOLLA (Dec. 16, 2016) — Ashley Carson carried CSUSB on Friday night, scoring a team-high 16 points in just 21 minutes of play in the Coyotes' 82-48 loss to UC San Diego in CCAA play at RIMAC Arena.
Carson hit 7 of 10 shots, but collectively CSUSB struggled from the field on 27.7 percent shooting against the Tritons.
UCSD outscored the Coyotes 18-3 midway through the first quarter and CSUSB trailed by double digits the final 32 minutes of play.
Norissa Sanders had seven points for CSUSB, now 5-2 overall and 2-1 CCAA.
Sabrea Coleman added six.
UCSD (6-3, 2-1) was led by Cassie MacLeod's 20 points.
The Coyotes are at Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday.
