SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 18, 2016) — Tuesday night as dubbed "Beat the Broncos'' Night and the Coyotes accomplished the achievement with a 3-0 win against Cal Poly Pomona at Coussoulis Arena.

Lauren Nicholson led CSUSB (13-4, 7-2 CCAA) with 14 kills and senior libero
Abbey Vollkommer dug out 19 digs in the 27-25, 25-17, 25-11 before a season-high crowd of 674. All-American MB
Malika O'Brien had nine kills with two block assists, and sophomore MB
Hailey Jackson had eight kills.
Nicholson earned a double-double with 10 digs, and setter
Jayann DeHoog had 32 assists and 13 digs
CSUSB fired a .200 attack percentage in the opening set, which had seven ties and two lead changes. It led 22-16 before CPP (4-14, 0-9) came back on an 8-1 run and led 24-23 on a kill from Alexandra Gresham.
Nicholson and Jackson each had a kill, but a CSUSB service error tied the set at 25-25.
Jackson earned a kill for a one-point lead and with sideout, CSUSB won the set on a CPP attack error.
In the second, freshman
Moira Murphy and Nicholson each had four kills as CSUSB grabbed the lead from the outset.
And in the third, both O'Brien and Nicholson had four kills apiece.
The Coyotes, who hit .260 (44-12-123) for the night, and they forced 25 CPP attack errors and took advantage of four Broncos' service errors.
CSUSB returns to Coussoulis Arena on Friday night against CCAA South-leading Cal State L.A.
