Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROHNERT PARK (Jan. 31, 2016) -- The 2016 Coyotes delivered a message with a successful weekend at one of the more difficult home venues in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

CSUSB took its series against Sonoma State, winning two of three games with a 7-4 victory in the opener, but losing 8-7 in 11 innings in Sunday's finale.

Now 2-1, the Coyotes return to the road this weekend with a four-game series at West Region power Dixie State.

Game 2: Coyotes 7, Sonoma State 4
The teams picked up play in the bottom of the sixth inning with the game tied at 3-3.

Three straight walks loaded the bases full of Coyotes in the eighth, before a methodical approach brought in Jordan Simon, William Ouellette and Dylan Lohman.

Lundeen earned an RBI-single, and Andrew Lopez followed with a sac fly. Then Damion Edmonds brought in Lohman on a ground-out and CSUSB led 7-4.
