POMONA (Jan. 28, 2016) -- Anthony January scored a team-high 19 points and 
Desi Barmore added 12 in the Coyotes' 84-63 loss to Cal Poly Pomona in CCAA play Thursday night.
The Coyotes, now 7-10, 4-9 CCAA, fell behind early and shot just 3-of-23 in the first half (13 percent). CPP (16-3, 9-3) led from the outset and built a lead as large as 23.
Jordan Faison scored 27 points with 10 rebounds for the Broncos. Daylan Lawrence had 18.
Barmore pulled the Coyotes to within 10 (63-53) on a three-point play with 7:01 left in the game. But CPP scored seven straight points and was never threatened again.
The Coyotes' starters were outscored 71-27 by their counterparts.
CSUSB completes the weekend Saturday at Humboldt State.
