Box Score SAN MARCOS (Sept. 18, 2015) — CSUSB made the most out of a corner kick midway through the second half in the Coyotes' 1-1 draw against host Cal State San Marcos in the CCAA opener for both teams Friday afternoon at the Cougar Den.

Melanie Aguayo one-timed a shot from teammate
Kiersten Miller's corner kick that tied the game at 1-1 in the 63
rd minute of play. The shot was CSUSB's first of the second half.
The Coyotes played the majority of the second half on the defensive end and coach
LeBaron Hollimon's crew kept CSUSB in the game. The Cougars totaled seven shots with four shots on goal, but to no avail as CSUSB worked its overall record to 1-3-2 and now 0-0-1 in the CCAA.

Emily Whyte had six saves and turned back the only SOG goal by either team in either overtime, coming in the 107
th minutes from the Cougars' Sarah Campbell.
Aguayo had three of the Coyotes' seven shots.
Amanda Lopez and Miller had the only other SOG for CSUSB.
The Coyotes return to San Diego County when they take on UC San Diego at 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
The Coyotes kept CSUSM winless on the year at 0-2-3 overall.
