Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (April 30, 2015) -- Senior RHP
Tyler Rahier struck out eight in four innings of relief, and the Coyotes connected on three home runs in their 14-5 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills in CCAA baseball Thursday night at Fiscalini Field.
CSUSB (10-36, 8-29 CCAA) and Toros (25-22, 19-18) return to Fiscalini on Friday night for Senior Night. CSUSB will honor its 11 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
Aaron Owen connected on a two-run home run in the first and
Trevor Williams and
Grant Buchanan later ripped solo homers, but CSUDH supplied enough punch on the offensive end for the win.
Kamron Young had two home runs, Joshua Flores ripped a grand slam and Brady Conlan had the other for the Toros. They sent 10 to the plate in the fifth inning and scored six runs, then put another five on the scoreboard in the sixth.
Rahier came on in the sixth and had two k's in the inning, two in the eighth, then put three runners on with base hits in the ninth, before wrapping up the night with three straight strikeouts.
Sophomore RHP
Tyler Wells threw four innings and had five strikeouts in the no-decision.
Owen,
Warren Fishback and Buchanan led the Coyotes at the plate with two hits apiece.
