Box Score 2 SAN BERNARDINO (April 3, 2015) – Cal State Stanislaus pounded out 24 runs on 26 hits Friday to sweep a California Collegiate Athletic Association doubleheader from host Cal State San Bernardino, 14-4 and 10-1, at Fiscalini Field.
James Heller led the Warriors (13-19 overall, 8-14 CCAA) with five hits, including two home runs and drove in nine runs in the sweep. Freshman pitcher Tyler Murphy scattered seven hits for a complete game victory in the seven-inning nightcap to improve to 3-4 on the season.
Warren Fishback, who hit a three-run homer in Thursday's 5-4 loss to Stanislaus, had three hits in five at bats in game one to lead the Coyotes.
Trevor Williams also had three hits in the opening game loss. CSUSB is now 6-25 overall and 4-18 in the CCAA.
The Coyotes host the Warriors in the series finale at 11 a.m. Saturday.
