CARSON (December 19, 2015) -- Desi Barmore scored a team-high 12 points off the bench, but host Cal State Dominguez Hills took control early and routed the Coyotes 90-72 in CCAA play Saturday night.
Three Toros -- Ivan Dooley, Vincent Golson and Justin Sadler -- scored 20 points each and Sadler grabbed 19 rebounds for the Toros' largest margin of victory over the Coyotes since the series began in 1992.
Zeke DeBlase added 11 points and
Aaron Cheatum 10 with
Anthony January pulling down 13 rebounds for the Coyotes, now 3-5, 0-4 CCAA.
The Coyotes were held to 36.8 percent from the field (28 of 76) and hit only 4 of 25 3-point attempts.
Juan Martinez hit three consecutive free throws to pull the Coyotes to within three points (67-64) with 9:55 remaining. But the Toros immediately responded with a 13-0 run of their own and built the lead to as many as 20 points.
