SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 29, 2015) -- CCAA champion and No. 8 Sonoma State scored a first-half goal and dealt the Coyotes a 1-0 loss in women's soccer Thursday afternoon.

The Coyotes (4-10-3, 3-7-1 CCAA) close the 2015 season Saturday afternoon at home against Humboldt State.

SSU's Alex Sifuentes broke loose on a feed from Sara Van Wagnoner in the 36th minute. She controlled a one-on-one shot that beat CSUSB goalkeeper Emily Whyte for the game's only tally.

Whyte had five saves with four in the second half.

The Coyotes mustered just one shot on a goal -- from senior Melanie Aguayo in the second half.

CSUSB had six shots with two from freshman Denae Verdine.

SSU improved to 12-1-3, 9-0-2 and stretched its scoreless streak to 889 minutes, dating back to September.
