Coyotes Drop Fifth Straight At SF State

SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 23, 2015) — The Coyotes struggles on offense continued Friday in their 1-0 loss to San Francisco State in CCAA women's soccer at Cox Stadium.
 
The Coyotes, who were held scoreless in their fourth straight contest, are now 4-8-3 overall and 3-5-1 in the CCAA and look to move on Sunday in their game at Cal State Monterey Bay.
 
The Gators' Vanessa Penuna delivered the knockout blow in the 76th minute, volleying a throw-in from Molly Schuster past Coyotes goalkeeper Emily Whyte.
 
Whyte totaled five saves, increasing her season total at 63.
 
SFSU's goalkeeper Karin Nordin had three saves on shots from Ebony Squier, Denae Verdine and Megan Todd.
 
The Gators improved to 7-6-3 overalll and 3-4-3 in the CCAA.
