SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 18, 2015) — The Coyotes suffered their third straight shutout Sunday, losing 3-0 to Chico State in CCAA women's soccer at Coyote Premier Field.

CSUSB (4-7-3, 3-4-1 CCAA) returns to the road this week when it takes on San Francisco State (Friday) and Cal State Monterey Bay (Sunday).

Senior Melanie Aguayo led the Coyotes in shots with six and shared the team lead in shots on goal (two) with Amanda Lopez. Freshman Denae Verdine registered the Coyotes' other shots on the day, totaling three shots with one SOG.

Chico grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute, thanks to Carlie Reader's third goal on the season. The Wildcats added two in the second half from Lindsey Dias and Pooja Patel.

Junior GK Emily Whyte had three saves in her 90 minutes of play.

Chico State improved to 9-3-2, 5-2-1.
