Tony Lo scored a goal for the Coyotes, but visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills played scored three unanswered goals and handed CSUSB a 3-1 defeat at Coyote Premier Field on Sunday afternoon.
CSUSB, now 4-2 overall and 0-2 CCAA, takes on UC San Diego in La Jolla on Friday and returns home against Cal State L.A. on Sunday.
The first half was a back-and-forth tug with Lo giving the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the 23
rd minute.
Jose Gonzalez fed the ball to Lo, who drove it from the left side to the right.
But CSUDH answered back seven minutes later on a goal from Al Nazari and the teams were tied at halftime, 1-1.
The Toros earned second-half goals from Pedro Velasquez.
CSUSB had four SOGs with 10 total shots. CSUDH had 20 shots on the afternoon with 11 SOGs.
CSUDH improved to 4-4-1, 2-0.
