Miller delivers a pair of RBI in 6-3 loss to CPP

POMONA -- Senior Remington Miller came off the bench and delivered a 3-for-3 effort with two RBI in the Coyotes' 6-3 loss to No. 7 Cal Poly Pomona in CCAA baseball Friday afternoon.

The Coyotes (10-26 overall, 8-19 CCAA) and Broncos (25-9, 18-8) conclude their four-game weekend series with Saturday's doubleheader at Fiscalini Field. First pitch is 11 a.m.

CSUSB trailed 2-0 entering the top of the third and came back with runs in the third and fourth to tie at 2-2.

Kevin Meriwether came through with a one-out single up the middle that scored Steven Chagolla, who singled.

Then in the fourth, Brian Lockey led off with a double and came around to score two outs later, when Miller singled to short.

William Oullette, who went 0-for-4, extended his consecutive reached base game to 22 on a seventh-inning walk.

Chris Carlson had a two RBI and Michael Zidek went 3-for-3.
