Outside hitter
Alexandra Torline reached the .400 attack level for the third time this season at .467 with 16 kills in CSUSB's 25-13, 25-16, 25-16 victory.
Collectively, CSUSB (15-5, 12-4 CCAA) hit .376 and never trailed in any set against the Warriors (2-18, 2-14).
The Coyotes came out on fire in the opener with 14 kills and two of the team's four service aces from Torline. They also did a masterful job on sideouts at 13-of-14, good for a 92 percent effort.
After CSUS got within three points in the second set,
Tori May had consecutive kills and the Coyotes led 14-9 and built leads as large as nine before
Kaitlyn Christner ended the set with a kill.
Torline had seven of the Coyotes' 15 kills in the final set.
Thirteen Coyotes saw playing time. May had seven kills with one block assist, and Christner had six kills with a pair of digs.
Torline was joined by fellow outside hitter
Ashley Solis with two service aces. Torline added six digs, while Solis had four digs with a block assist.
Defensively, nine Coyotes had at least one dig with senior
Arielle McCullough leading with 12 and setter
Ciara Richards 10.
Jordan Ortega had five digs with a service ace to her credit.
CSUSB completes the weekend Saturday night at Chico State.
