Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 18, 2014) — No. 14 Cal State San Bernardino wrapped a weekend home sweep, culiminating with a 3-1 victory over Cal State East Bay in CCAA volleyball at Coussoulis Arena.

Alexandra Torline posted a match-high 20 kills and senior All-American MB
Tori May followed with 18 in the Coyotes' 25-19, 23-25, 28-26, 25-21 victory. CSUSB improved to 13-4 overall and 10-3 CCAA heading into Thursday's tilt against league-leading Sonoma State.
Both dominated in the first two sets with CSUSB never trailing in the opener and CSUEB matching with one of its own in the second.
Senior L
Arielle McCullough led her team with 23 digs, including an eye-popping 10 in the first set.
May also had two block assists, but added three service aces in a role that coach
Kim Cherniss added this week. For the match, CSUSB had 11 aces with just six service errors.
CSUSB ripped a .280 percentage in the third set that made the Coyotes work.
A May kill gave CSUSB a 22-19 lead, but CSUEB responded with three straight points to tie at 22-22 and the set was tied four more times.
Setter
Ciara Richards had a kill that tied the set at 25-25 and after a kill from CSUEB's Amber Hall, Torline stopped the Pioneers with a kill of her own and the set tied for the final time at 26-al.
With Torline serving,
Ashley Solis had a kill and after a CSUEB timeout, Torline fired off an ace and CSUSB led 2-1.
Torline had five kills in the fourth and final set.
Down 16-15, a service error gave the Coyotes sideout and with May serving, CSUSB pieced a 5-0 run with an ace and kills from Torline and All-American
Brenna McIntosh for a 21-16 lead.
Three Coyotes —
Kaitlyn Christner, McIntosh and Solis — had seven kills, while Richards handed out 50 assists. Richards led the match with four service aces, while
Abbey Vollkommer joined McCullough in double figures in digs with 12.
Solis was solid on the block with one solo and four block assists.
CSUEB, led by Samantha Bruno's 16 kills, is 5-13, 2-11.
