The Pioneers answered back with a run in the third and the Coyotes cut the lead to 4-3 with single runs in the fourth and fifth.
In the fourth,
Andrew Harrison scored on a first-and-third situation and in the fifth, Pilkerton's sacrifice fly to left scored Miller, who reached on an error.

Christian Gomez each had two hits as the Coyotes finished with eight hits -- all singles.
