Coyotes shut out for second straight night

LOS ANGELES -- Michael Castello had a pair of singles, but the Coyotes were shutout for the second straight game in their 7-0 loss to Cal State L.A. in CCAA baseball Friday night.

The Coyotes (11-15 overall, 5-13 CCAA) and Golden Eagles (19-13, 16-6) conclude their series in Saturday's doubleheader at Fiscalini Field. First pitch is 11 a.m.

CSULA's David Armas struck out six Coyotes and did not issue a walk in twirling a 5-hit shutout.

Remington Miller, Billy Hamilton and Andrew Harrison had the other Coyotes' hits.

The Golden Eagles struck with a three-run, four-hit third inning and added two more runs in the fourth.

James Wharton, Tyler Christian and Casey Ryan each had two RBI for CSULA.
