LOS ANGELES -- The Coyotes were dealt a difficult night against Cal State L.A. on Thursday night, losing 9-0 in CCAA baseball.

The Coyotes (11-14 overall, 5-12 CCAA) and Golden Eagles (18-13, 15-6) resume their series Friday night at 6 p.m.

CSUSB had just four hits -- all singles -- against the Golden Eagles. Remington Miller, Richard Mount, Billy Hamilton and Christian Gomez were successful at the plate. All told, Coyotes' hitters struck out 10 times -- nine against starter Justin Sechler.

In fact, the Coyotes did not have a runner advance past second base on the night.
