Curtis Cassise collected three hits and two RBI and 
Billy Hamilton added two hits with two RBI, but it wasn't enough as the Coyotes lost 6-5 against Cal State Dominguez Hills in Saturday's opener in CCAA baseball.
The Coyotes were swept on the day when they were defeated 3-2 in the second game.
CSUSB (9-7 overall, 3-5 CCAA) heads to Cal State East Bay this week in a four-game series in Hayward.
Game 1: Cal State Dominguez Hills 6, Coyotes 5
Kevin Logan's two-out, RBI-single to right in the ninth inning provided the difference maker for the Toros.
Trailing 5-4 entering the top of the ninth, the Coyotes tied the game on Cassise's two-out, run-scoring single tp center that scored 
David Silvas, who led off the inning with a single.
Aaron Beckley also had three hits for the Coyotes -- all singles.
RHP 
Ruben Rios threw 5 2/3 innings and had one strikeout. 
Brian Jipp took the loss in three innings of relief.
Game 2: Cal State Dominguez Hills 3, Coyotes 2
The Coyotes scored their only runs of the game in the second inning. 
Richard Mount, who hit a one-out single, and 
Jake Pilkerton (walk) scored on 
Stratton Kim's two-out single up the middle.
But the Toros answered with one run in the second and one in the fifth to tie the game
In the bottom of the seventh, CSUDH earned the game-winning run when Charles Rossman III hit a single to right that scored Spencer Maxey from third.
Starting RHP 
Taylor Valentine threw six innings in the start. He struck out six, walked three and gave up five hits.
The Coyotes had just four hits -- all singles from 
Trevor McMaster, Mount, Beckley and Kim.
