Alexandra Torline played a big role in the Coyotes adding to their winning streak Friday night as CSUSB defeated Cal State Stanislaus 3-1 before a crowd of 369 at Coussoulis Arena.
The Coyotes improved to 7-6 overall and 4-1 in the CCAA in their 25-19, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17 victory over the Warriors (4-9, 1-4).
Torline stood tall with 12 kills, three service aces, 10 digs, one solo block and four block assists and finished with a match-high 18 points.

Danielle Newcombe was equally impressive as the Redlands native had 13 kills and 15 digs.
The Coyotes trailed 13-10 in the first set before coach
Kim Cherniss called a timeout. After the break, CSUSB climbed back with much-needed momentum and took a 17-16 lead with a kill from Torline.

Brenna McIntosh gave the Coyotes the lead for good at 18-17 as they outscored CSUS 7-2 down the stretch for the opening set victory.
CSUSB dominated in the second set as it led from the outset. Torline had four of 12 kills in the second set and Newcombe added three as the Coyotes 14-4-40 on the attack.
CSUS did not break and fought hard to win the third set. With Ashley Pittman service, the Warriors enjoyed a 7-0 run with three Andrea Fett kills to lead 20-12 and stay ahead for the win.
But CSUSB made sure its winning streak remained intact in the fourth with two notable runs. Tied at 6-6 and
Arielle McCullough serving, CSUSB four straight points and led 10-6.
Then with CSUSB up 16-10 and Torline serving, the Coyotes scored five straight, thanks to two block assists and a kill from
Mercedes Winchester.
Senior All-American
Camille Smith had 36 assists and two service aces. McCullough led with 22 digs and Winchester finished with one solo block and five block assists.
CSUSB remains at Coussoulis Arena on Saturday when they take on No. 18-ranked Chico State.
The Warriors (4-9, 1-4) were led by Eva Chafeh's 13 kills.
