Box Score: CSULA 3, No. 20 Coyotes 0
SAN BERNARDINO -- Senior
Mercedes Winchester led No. 20 CSUSB with 12 kills, but Friday night was not meant to be in the Coyotes' 3-0 loss to Cal State L.A. in CCAA volleyball at Coussoulis Arena.
CSUSB is 3-6 overall and 0-1 in the CCAA as the Golden Eagles became the first CCAA squad to earn a win over the Coyotes at Coussoulis Arena in five seasons since UC San Diego earned a 3-2 win on Oct. 27, 2007 -- a span of 44 matches.

After losing the opening set, CSUSB came back and played well in the second. They got within a point late (20-19) on a block assist from freshmen
Ashley Solis and
Brenna McIntosh.
But CSULA came back with four straight points for a 24-19 lead and went on to the win.
In set three, the Coyotes fell behind 6-0 and could not cut into the lead.
