TURLOCK -- Freshman RHP Abreanna Landeros threw a two-hit shutout to carry the Coyotes past host Cal State Stanislaus 6-0 in the opener of Saturday's CCAA doubleheader.

The Coyotes went on to sweep the Warriors, earning a 6-2 victory behind a complete game from RHP Carly Land. The
Coyotes are now 10-15 overall and 6-10 in the CCAA, while CSUS is 11-22, 4-10.

Game 1: Coyotes 6, Cal State Stanislaus 0  (Box score)
Landeros struck out one and walked five, but allowed just the two hits and improved her record to 3-2.

The Coyotes scored two runs in the third, capped by Britney Butler's RBI double that scored Charlotte Galzote.

In the fifth, Alex Mitchell led off with a triple to right center and scampered home on a passed ball.

Then for good measure, Butler connected on a three-run homer and provided Landeros with all sorts of insurance.

Butler finished 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Junior Alyssa Flores was the only other Coyotes with mulitple hits, going 2-for-4 with a double.

Game 2: Coyotes 6, Cal State Stanislaus 4 (Box Score)
Mitchell went 3-for-3 and Butler had four RBI as the Coyotes earned their first sweep since last month's series against San Francisco State.

Down 2-1 through four innings, CSUSB struck with a four-run, three-hit fifth inning. Butler ripped a bases-clearning double -- the game's only extra-base hit -- and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Jamie Leffingwell.

Land (4-6) threw a complete game and struck out two, walked five and allowed fivce hits and two runs.

Galzote, Butler and Flores each had two hits apiece.
