TURLOCK -- Freshman RHP
Abreanna Landeros threw a two-hit shutout to carry the Coyotes past host Cal State Stanislaus 6-0 in the opener of Saturday's CCAA doubleheader.
The Coyotes went on to sweep the Warriors, earning a 6-2 victory behind a complete game from RHP
Carly Land. The
Coyotes are now 10-15 overall and 6-10 in the CCAA, while CSUS is 11-22, 4-10.

Landeros struck out one and walked five, but allowed just the two hits and improved her record to 3-2.
The Coyotes scored two runs in the third, capped by
Britney Butler's RBI double that scored
Charlotte Galzote.
In the fifth,
Alex Mitchell led off with a triple to right center and scampered home on a passed ball.
Then for good measure, Butler connected on a three-run homer and provided Landeros with all sorts of insurance.
Butler finished 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Junior
Alyssa Flores was the only other Coyotes with mulitple hits, going 2-for-4 with a double.

Mitchell went 3-for-3 and Butler had four RBI as the Coyotes earned their first sweep since last month's series against San Francisco State.
Down 2-1 through four innings, CSUSB struck with a four-run, three-hit fifth inning. Butler ripped a bases-clearning double -- the game's only extra-base hit -- and later scored on a sacrifice fly from
Jamie Leffingwell.
Land (4-6) threw a complete game and struck out two, walked five and allowed fivce hits and two runs.
Galzote, Butler and Flores each had two hits apiece.
