SAN BERNARDINO -- Five players contributed no less than a .400 attack percentage Friday night as the No. 3 Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes played an efficient and balanced match in a 3-0 victory over Alaska-Anchorage before a crowd of 206 in Coussoulis Arena.
Senior Megan Johnson led the way with nine kills in 16 attempts and fired a .500 attack percentage and also had two solo blocks, while fellow senior Priscilla Collings added an error-free night with six kills in 14 attempts in the Coyotes' 25-21, 25-17, 25-13 victory over the Seawolves.

It marked the Coyotes' 48th consecutive home victory, dating to the 2007 season.
Junior All-American setter Camille Smith had six kills and senior Morgan Carty was 8-2-15 (.400) for the 2-0 Coyotes.
For the night, CSUSB was 42-9-89 on the attack, hitting .371 and holding UAA to just 27 kills. The Coyotes were helped by 20 attack errors from the Seawolves.
The key on this occasion occurred during the second set and CSUSB trailing 12-7. Coach Kim Cherniss called a timeout and it worked wonders as the Coyotes rallied behind sophomore Danielle Newcombe's serves.
Wtih the Redlands native at the command, CSUSB strung together six straight points to lead 15-13 and never trailed again for the night. Three attack errors from the Seawolves, combined with two kills from Collings and one from Smith were the big moments.
All told, 12 Coyotes saw action against the Seawolves. Smith had 33 assists and two block assists. Senior Mercedes Winchester also had two block assists in just one set. Newcombe had eight digs and senior Kelcie Tolan had six.
Senior All-American Samantha Middleborn had seven kills and two block assists.
Jackie Matthisen had eight kills for UAA, now 1-1.
The Coyotes will complete the tourney Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. match against Dominican and conclude the tourney with a 7:30 p.m. match against No. 17 Western Washington -- the last team to defeat the Coyotes inside Coussoulis Arena
