Sidney Hall scored a career-high 19 points to lead visiting Cal State San Bernardino over Cal State Stanislaus 69-56 in a key road California Collegiate Athletic Association men's basketball Friday night.
The Coyotes, now 13-9 overall and 11-7 in the CCAA, are in fourth place in the CCAA with four games remaining and clinched a CCAA Tournament berth. They pulled one game past defending NCAA champion Cal Poly Pomona (13-8, 10-8), which lost at Chico State 62-58 on Friday.
The Coyotes are also even with San Francisco State (14-9 overall, 12-7 CCAA) in the loss column, as the Gators lost to league-leader Humboldt State.
CSUSB held CSUS to 35-percent shooting, as the Coyotes shot 44 percent (23 of 52). CSUSB was 13 of 28 from the 3-point stripe -- a season high.
