TURLOCK — Cal State San Bernardino once again had to settle for another split with Cal State Stanislaus, Saturday, winning the first game 4-2 before falling in the second 5-4.
Felicia Cervantes went 4-for-7 with three RBIs and a run scored on the day.
Courtney Wilhelms drove in the first run of the game in the opener on a sacrifice fly that scored
Britney Butler and Cervantes doubled to score

The Warriors tied it up in the third inning on a single to left field by Erica McIntyre to even up the score at 2-2.

Cassidy Lee traded zeros in frames four through six with only three hits given up between the two, but the Coyotes took charge in the seventh. Pinch hitter
Stefanie Pace drew a walk on four straight pitches and moved into scoring position at second base on a ground out by
Alex Mitchell. Butler knocked a single down the right field line which scored
Erica Prentice, who had come in to pinch run for Pace. Holtzclaw reached base on a single through the left side and Wilhelms walked to load the bases. Cervantes hit a single that easily scored Butler to give the Coyotes a 4-2 lead. Holtzclaw rounded third and tried to stretch for home, but was cut down at the plate for the third out of the inning.
CSUS had a chance in their half of the seventh. Lee gave up a lead-off single to Veronica Luna who advanced to second on a throwing error. After Lee got Brittany Balanesi to foul out and Carlos to fly out, she faced Locarnini who had come into the game hitting .405 and was already 1-for-2 with a walk against Lee. On a full count, Lee caught Locarnini looking for her sixth strike out of the game and the to move to 3-4 on the year.
The Coyotes got started on the right foot in the nightcap when Cervantes led off the second inning with a single to center field followed by a
Priscilla Curiel sac bunt. After

Carly Land punched an RBI single to right field so score Cervantes giving CSUSB a 1-0 lead
CSUS took their first lead of the day in the third inning on a Coyote error and a sac fly before a Missy Corral double made it 3-1 for the Warriors.
CSUSB retook the lead at 4-3 in the fifth on some heads-up base running. After CSUSB put runners at the corners, the Coyotes pulled off a double steal to score Mitchell and land Holtzclaw at second. Wilhelms promptly knocked a single through the left side to score Holtzclaw and took second on the throw home. Wilhelms made it 4-3 when she came home on a Cervantes single.
The Warriors however took over in the seventh with a late rally to salvage another split. Stanislaus put two runners in scoring position before Jennifer Arnold hit a ball deep enough to center field to score the tying run and move the winning run to third. Corral then slapped a walk-off single to right field to give the Warriors (5-20-1, 3-17 CCAA) a dramatic 5-4 victory over the Coyotes (13-18, 11-9 CCAA). Weatherford (2-11) got the win while Land (0-8) took the loss.
Cal State San Bernardino plays its next five games at the Mizumo Tournament of Champions Friday and Saturday in Turlock.
