Box Score

SAN BERNARDINO — Cal State San Bernardino already knows it will be hosting a first-round California Collegiate Athletic Association game Tuesday night, but the Coyotes are still trying to secure that third-place spot and took one step closer with a 74-58 win over San Francisco State.

With a win Friday night over Cal State Monterey Bay that third place spot will belong to CSUSB who moved to 18-7 on the year and 16-5 in the CCAA with the win over SFSU.

Bryan LeDuc was just one point off a season-high with 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting form the field and was a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. The senior also just missed one free throw going 3-for-4 from the charity stripe. LeDuc notched his seventh double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds.

Steven Gaston was the only other Coyote in double figures with 12 points, nine of which came on three treys. Ryan Kinney and Devon Davis each added 12.

Nefi Perdomo and Marquel Hoskins each scored 19 for the Gators.

The Coyotes shot over 50 percent from the field for the seventh time this season, hitting 27 of their 52 attempts from the floor. CSUSB was also right at 50 percent from beyond the arc, going 9-for-18. Cal State San Bernardino also held the Gators to just 38.3 percent from the field and 26.9 percent form downtown

CSUSB also scored 23 points off turnovers, SFSU had 10, and the Coyotes' bench outscored the Gators 26-7.

The Gators did hold an early lead at 15-9, but after CSUSB used an 18-3 run to lead 27-18, it was all Coyotes from that point on. SFSU got no closer than nine in the second half and trailed 40-31 when CSUSB all but put away the game with a 12-1 run capped by a LeDuc three.

While CSUSB will be going for no worse than third, their opponent won't be known until Friday night as there is a four-way tie for fifth place

The Coyotes are set to tip off with Cal State Monterey Bay on Senior Night at 7:35.
