Box Score: No. 7 Coyotes def. CSU Stanislaus 3-1
TURLOCK -- It's been a rare occurrence when Cal State San Bernardino trails at any one point during the 2010 season.
A 1-0 deficit didn't stop the visiting Coyotes from winning, though, as they went on to earn a 3-1 victory at Cal State Stanislaus in CCAA play Friday night.
CSUSB improved to 22-2 overall and 18-1 in the CCAA, while the Warriors dropped to 11-13, 8-11.
Senior All-American
Jane Chafeh led the way for the Coyotes with 12 kills.
Morgan Carty and
Nicole Moore each had eight kills in the 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-14 victory.
The Warriors fired off a .333 attack percentage in set one and that enabled them to earn the set victory. But they committed 22 attack errors over the next three sets and were unable to adequately serve. They had an astounding 15 service errors for the match and the Coyotes took advantage.
Mercedes Winchester led the Coyotes with four block assists and libero
Kelcie Tolan had 11 digs and Chafeh followed with 10 digs.
CSUSB completes the weekend Saturday at Chico State. First serve is 7 p.m.
