Middleborn had the most prolific day of her career with 11 kills in 14 attacks for a glossy .714 hitting percentage against Ashland. She followed that by notching eight kills in 12 attacks on .583 hitting with four blocks against WWU.. Chafeh, a junior posted a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs on .241 hitting against Ashland and followed it up with a match-high 15 kills and nine digs in the win over the Vikings Friday night..
Morgan Carty, a sophomore, had eight kills in 11 attacks for a .636 hitting percentage in the win over Ashland.
Ashland proved formidable in set one before falling 25-21 but the Coyotes dominated the final two sets, winning 25-17 and 25-15. CSUSB hit .367 as a team while the Coyotes defense held Ashland to .111 team hitting.

Sara Hoffman had 33 assists and five digs for CSUSB while sophomore libero
Kelcie Tolan had nine digs on the back line. The Coyotes came up with eight service aces in the match.
The third set was close early with CSUSB holding a slim 10-9 lead but pulled away on a 10-2 run to lead 20-11 on a kill by junior outside hitter
Nicole Moore, one of three she had in five attacks in the match.
CSUSB hit .310 as a team against Western. Senior
Ashtin Hall nailed five of seven kill shots (.714 hitting) to go with seven digs. Hoffman had 21 assists and three service aces in the match. Moore improved on her debut match with the Coyotes against Ashland with five kills in 11 attacks (.364 hitting).
