Coyotes sweep Stanislaus on the road

Volleyball finishes 1st round of CCAA play at 9-0

    No.2-ranked Cal State San Bernardino closed out the first round of California Collegiate Athletic Association women's volleyball play with a 3-0 sweep of Cal State Stanislaus in Coussoulis Arena.
    CSUSB is now 17-1 on the season and 9-0 in the CCAA after beating a team that is now 1-8 in conference play.
    The Coyotes used 12 of their 14 players in the match, winning games by scores of 30-15, 30-22 and 30-22 while hitting .324 as a team with 52 kills. The Warriors were limited to .105 hitting on 30 kills with 20 attack errors.
    Junior Jessica Granados again led CSUSB with 16 kills on .424 hitting with two service aces, six digs and two blocks. Senior middle blocker hit .800 with eight kills in 10 attacks and no errors. Setter Sara Hoffman, who leads Division II in assists, averaging 14.1 per game, totaled 33 against CSUS.
    Meghan Haas and Lindsey Olhausen combined for 25 digs.
    CSUSB is now 93-6 at home in conference play since the start of the 1998 season, a period that has seen them win four CCAA titles and two NCAA regional titles.
