BEFORE CAL STATE: Malones red-shirted her freshman season at George Mason University, a Division I school.

HIGH SCHOOL: She is a 2005 graduate of Kauai High School in Lihue, Hawaii where she played four years of volleyball, earning honorable mention all-state in 2004. She also played tennis for two seasons and competed in track for one season.

PERSONAL: Malones is a public relations major who wants to work for an integrated marketing firm or be a travel writer. She has been active in Girl Scouts and volunteered in a child abuse prevention program with her sorority. She enjoys surfing and beach volleyball. Her parents are Rolando and Jocelyn Malones. She has two siblings.

FAVORITES: Fast food – In-N-Out; Treat – ice cream; TV program – Grey’s Anatomy; Movie – “Because I Said So”; Music – Jack Johnson; Meal – sushi; College class – anything taught by Donna Gotch.

MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT – Competing in 2004 state tournament on Maui.
