HIGH SCHOOL: Young played four years of soccer and football at Don Lugo High School in Chino, graduating in 2006. He also played two years of baseball and track and field and one year of cross country. He was a first-team all-league player in soccer. 

PERSONAL: He is a kinesiology major envisioning a career in massage therapy. Away from soccer Young enjoys writing and reading poetry. He has served his community as a youth soccer referee, goalie trainer and helped other events for children. His parents are Rick and Karen Young. 

FAVORITES: Fast food – In-N-Out; Treat – fruit; TV program – That 70’s Show; Movie – “300”; Music – Green Day; Class – math. 

MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT – Beating the Surf to knock them out of a club tournament they won each of the last five years. 

MOST EMBARRASS ING MOMENT – Missing a wide open goal from two yards out.
