Kyle Louey

Kyle Louey joined Cal State San Bernardino Athletics in June 2025 as a Sports Performance Coach. In this role, Louey works closely with the coaches, student-athletes, staff, and community partners of all 10 teams to foster excellence on and off the field.

Prior to joining CSUSB, Louey served as a temporary Sports Performance Assistant Coach at Stanford University, where he led men’s crew, women’s squash, and men’s wrestling.

Before Stanford, Louey was an Athletic Performance graduate assistant at San Jose State University, where he also earned his graduate degree in Kinesiology. There, Louey led training for men’s and women’s Soccer, women’s swimming & diving, and women’s water polo, and played a key role in implementing sport science.

Louey earned his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology from Chico State University, where he progressed from a Strength and Conditioning Intern to a part-time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. There, he worked with nearly every sport on campus.

Louey is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, and is Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) certified.
