Dwayne Soders enters his second season on coach Andy Newman's staff in 2019-20.
A former standout player at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, he helped carry the Falcons to its first ever Conference Championship in 2011 under Dwaine Osborne. He led the Heartland Conference in scoring, and rebounding under new head Coach Andy Newman. In 2014 he led the Falcons back to a Conference Championship battle. He was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2014. For three years, Soders was an Educator at Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth Independent School District. He assisted Coach Charles Hickman with Varsity Basketball, Coach Rob with Varsity Football, and Coach Payne with Varsity Track. Soders was also named the “Student Athletes Coach” for all sports at Polytechnic High School in 2017-18. He Monitored classroom participation, grades, study hall, and decided all disciplinary action for student athletes.
Dwayne Soders attended Western Hills High School (Fort Worth, Texas) where he earned an athletic scholarship to attend McLennan College in 2007. He then went on to play his sophomore season at Kilgore College under Brian Hoberecht. His junior and senior seasons he would join the Falcons to complete his college career. Soders majored in Communications and minored in Marketing and Management. Soders played professional basketball in Guadalajara Mexico in 2014.
