The 2017-2018 season was a historic season for the UTPB Falcons as they tied a school record for most wins in a season (26), and made it to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen for the first time in school history.

Prior to joining Coach Newman at UTPB, Yoder spent the previous five seasons at Kansas State under Head Coach Bruce Weber.  He was promoted to video coordinator on the Kansas State staff on August 16, 2013 after spending the 2012-13 season as the team’s Graduate Assistant.

Yoder was instrumental in helping K-State to 100 wins and three NCAA tournament appearances in those five seasons, one of which included the school’s first-ever Big 12 regular season championship in 2012-13.

Yoder went to K-State in August 2012 after a one-year stint as an assistant coach at Parkland Junior College in Champaign, Illinois.  Prior to that he spent three years (2008-11) as a student manager for Weber at Illinois, including serving as head manager in 2010-11.

Before enrolling to the University of Illinois, Yoder was a two-year letter winner at Lake Land Junior College in Mattoon, IL under Hall of Fame Coach Jim Dudley and Dr. Cedric Brown.

The all-time leading scorer (1,517) at Okaw Valley High School in Bethany, IL. Yoder graduated from Illinois in May 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology. He completed his master’s degree in College Student Development & Academic Advising from Kansas State in 2014.
