At Mt. San Antonio College: Played two seasons for the Mounties (2009 and 10)... Helped team to super regionals his freshman season.

At Rowland Heights HS:Three-year letter winner in baseball and earned two letters in football... Two-time All-San Antonio League in baseball.

Personal: Son of Ruben and Lurdes Salazar... Criminal justice major, who would like to become a Los Angeles police officer... Enjoys playing poker and target shooting... Snacks on almonds and says In-N-Out is his favorite fast-food outlet... Says his mom's enchiladas suizas are his favorite food.
