    BEFORE CAL STATE:  Manzanarez played two years of baseball at Southwestern College in Chula Vista where he earned the team's "most versatile player" award and the "Mr. Apache" award.
    HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2005 graduate of San Diego High School where he played three years of baseball.
    PERSONAL: Manzanarez is a sociology major who would like to pursue a career in professional baseball. His hobbies are reading, playing the guitar, exercising and cooking. His parents are Adda and Francisco Manzanarez. He has two siblings.
    MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT -- Opening day in Japan at the World Tournament.
