HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2006 graduate of West High School in Tracy where he played four years of baseball. He was twice named the team's offensive player of the year.
    
PERSONAL: McNamara is a communications major with a career of working in television, film production or broadcasting. He enjoys fishing, boating, snowboarding and being with family. His community service involves visiting retirement homes at Christmas time. His parents and John and Teresa McNamara.
    
MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: Hitting a grand slam home run in the third round of high school playoffs in 2005.
